Privacy Terms of Use
In short:Quizmo is a free game for people aged 16 and over. Play fair, respect others and have fun. If you submit a scene, you give us permission to use it in the game. Tickets and “No Ads” are in-game perks, not money.

1. Who we are and what you agree to

Quizmo (the app, the quizmo.club website and related services, together, the “Service”) is operated by [name of the owner or company], with its address at [address], Argentina (“Quizmo”, “we”, “us”). By downloading, opening or using the Service, you agree to these Terms of Use and to the Privacy Policy, which forms part of them. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Who can play

Quizmo is for people aged 16 and over. By using it, you confirm that you are at least 16 years old. If we learn that an account belongs to someone under that age, we will delete it along with its data. In-game purchases may only be made by people who are of legal age under the laws of their country, or by minors with the permission of their parents or guardians.

3. Your account

  • You can play without an account. To save your progress, see the leaderboard, challenge your friends and keep your tickets when you change phones, you need to sign in with Apple or Google.
  • One account per person. The information you give us must be true.
  • You are responsible for what happens in your account. If you think someone has used it without permission, write to us.
  • Your nickname must not be offensive, discriminatory or obscene, or impersonate another person, a brand or a Quizmo character. We may change a nickname that does not follow these rules.
  • You can delete your account at any time from Settings › Account.

4. Fair play rules

You may not:

  • Use cheats, bots, multiple accounts or game bugs to earn points, tickets or leaderboard positions.
  • Copy, scrape or automatically collect scenes, answers or other players' data.
  • Modify, decompile or try to access non-public parts of the Service, or interfere with how it works.
  • Harass, threaten or insult other players, or post illegal, violent, sexual, discriminatory or offensive content.
  • Impersonate another person or Quizmo.
  • Help others do any of these things.

If you do not follow these rules, we may remove scores, tickets or leaderboard positions, and suspend or ban your account.

5. Scenes and other content you submit

“Player content” is everything you submit to the Service: the scene screenshots you suggest, the information that comes with them (movie, year, who to make invisible), your nickname, your answers and your reports.

  • Permission to use. By submitting content, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide, perpetual and irrevocable license to use, copy, edit (for example, make the characters invisible or crop the image), adapt, publish and display it in the Service and in its promotion, and to grant that same permission to our providers when they need it to provide the Service. We may show your nickname as the author of a scene (“Suggested by”).
  • What you guarantee. By submitting a screenshot, you confirm that it is a frame from a movie or series, that you are allowed to share it and that it does not infringe the rights of others, including other people's privacy or image rights. Do not submit personal photos or images of real people outside a movie or series.
  • What we may do. We may review, approve, edit, reject or remove any content, without having to explain why. We are not required to review everything that is submitted.
  • No payment. Suggesting scenes does not entitle you to any payment or prize.

6. Your license to use Quizmo and our brand

We grant you a personal, limited, revocable and non-transferable license to use the app and the website for personal, non-commercial purposes.

We reserve all rights to the Quizmo brand: its name, its logos, "Movie Monsters" and its characters (Rollo, Pochi, Claqueta, Proyector, Butacon and Entique). We also reserve all rights to the app, the website, their design, our own texts and our software. All of this belongs to us or is used by us under license, and is protected by intellectual property and trademark laws. Reproducing, editing, distributing or exploiting it in any way beyond what those laws allow requires our written permission. This license gives you no rights to the brand or to that content.

The movies, TV shows and third-party images that appear in the game are not ours: see section 8.

7. Tickets and “No Ads”

  • Tickets and “No Ads” are virtual perks for use within the game. They have no monetary value, are not money or property, cannot be exchanged for money or goods, and cannot be sold or transferred.
  • We grant you a limited, revocable license to use them. We may change how they work, their prices and the quantities in each pack.
  • Purchased tickets do not expire as long as the Service and your account exist. Free tickets follow the game's refill rules.
  • “No Ads” removes interstitial and banner ads for 7 days from purchase; rewarded videos that you choose to watch remain available. It does not renew automatically.
  • Purchases are processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play) under their own terms. Except where the law of your country requires otherwise, purchases are final and non-refundable; if you want to request a refund, do so through the store where you made the purchase.
  • If you delete your account, if we ban it for not following these Terms, or if the Service stops operating, any unused tickets and “No Ads” time are lost, unless the law provides otherwise.
  • If you play without an account, your tickets are stored on your phone and may be lost if you delete the app or change phones.

8. Movies and third-party content

The scenes in the game are frames from movies and series edited so that the characters cannot be seen, used for the purpose of identifying the work within a quiz game. The movies, series, titles, images, plot summaries and trademarks belong to their respective owners. Quizmo is not affiliated with, sponsored or endorsed by them.

The Service may show third-party ads and links. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content.

9. Copyright claims

If you hold the rights to a work and believe that a Quizmo scene infringes them, write to us at hello@quizmo.club with:

1. Your name, address, phone number and email. 2. The protected work and the scene you are claiming (the movie and, if you can, a screenshot of the Quizmo screen). 3. A statement that you believe in good faith that the use is not authorized by the rights holder, its agent or the law. 4. A statement that the information is accurate and that you are the rights holder or are authorized to act on its behalf. 5. Your physical or electronic signature.

We remove the claimed scene and, if it was submitted by a player, we let them know. We ban accounts that repeatedly submit infringing content. If you submitted a scene that was removed and you believe it was a mistake, you can reply to the notice with your reasons.

10. Ads

Quizmo is free thanks to ads (Google AdMob): interstitials, banners and rewarded videos that you choose to watch. How your data is used for ads is explained in the Privacy Policy, and you can change your preferences in Settings.

11. Changes to the Service

Quizmo is under development. We may add, change, pause or remove features, scenes or game modes (for example, the leaderboard or challenges) at any time and without prior notice, unless the law requires notice.

12. Suspension and termination

We may limit, suspend or block your access if you do not follow these Terms, if we receive well-founded reports or if the law requires it. You can stop using Quizmo whenever you want and delete your account from Settings. Sections 5, 6, 8, 9 and 13 to 17 remain in effect after termination.

13. No warranties

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. We do not guarantee that it will work without interruptions or errors, that answers will always be evaluated correctly, or that the content is accurate. This does not limit the rights you have as a consumer under the law of your country.

14. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, special or consequential damages, or for the loss of data, scores or virtual perks. Our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid in the Service in the 6 months before the claim, up to a maximum of USD 100. If the law of your country does not allow any of these limitations, the minimum limitation it allows applies.

15. Indemnity

If a third party makes a claim against us because of content you submitted or because you used the Service in breach of these Terms, you take responsibility and hold us harmless, including reasonable defense costs.

16. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Argentine Republic. Any dispute will be resolved before the ordinary courts of the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires. If you are a consumer and the law of your country gives you the right to bring a claim before its courts or under its rules, that right is preserved.

17. Other provisions

  • If any part of these Terms is invalid, the rest remains in effect.
  • If we do not enforce a right at a given time, that does not mean we waive it.
  • We may assign these Terms if the Service is transferred to another person or company.
  • Mobile data costs are your responsibility.
  • We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events beyond our control.
  • These Terms are a translation of the Spanish version. If the two versions differ, the Spanish version prevails.

18. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. We publish the new version with its date and, if the change is significant, we notify you in the app. If you keep using Quizmo after the change, you accept the new version.
